If you currently pay for your transcription service based on a fee schedule other than a per word basis, here’s an easy way to compare our fees with your current service.  Open a sample document and determine how much you paid for the transcription of that document.  Also, determine how many words are in that document.  Then, plug in those numbers in the formula below.

YSC / NWD = CPW

Where

YSC = the total amount charged by your service for the sample document

NWD = number of words in the sample document

CPW = cost per word in the sample document

Now, compare the CPW you determined to our fee schedule below:

• Transcription of Reports, beginning at $0.02 per word
• Transcription of Recorded Statements, beginning at $0.03 per word for 2-person interview
• Translation/Transcription of Spanish audio to English text, beginning at $0.08 per word for 2-person interview

Multiple party interviews, poor quality audio, and other factors can increase the cost per word but the majority of the work we do is billed out at the basic fee.
